What is Artistic Skating?

Artistic skating is a sport comprising of three major disciplines. 

• Freeskating - Skaters perform a series of jumps and spins to their choice of music.
• Dancing - This form of skating is much like ballroom dancing, requiring a good understanding of timing and rythym.
• Figure skating - Skaters trace marked circles on the floor using balance and poise.

Who does Artistic Skating?

There is an artistic style to suit everyone.  Young, old, male or female, it doesn't matter.  We've have coaches that can teach you all you need to know to reach your full potential.

Where Do I Start?

We recommend all skaters begin in our Star Classes.  Star classes are designed for beginner skaters to slightly more advanced skaters.  They teach skills from basic balance and stopping (star 1) right through to one foot spins and waltz jumps (star 5).  Skaters receive a certificate and badge once they have passed each class.

What Do I Need?

Skates. Both inline and quads can be used for this style of skating.  If you don't have your own we have them available to hire.
