What are Star Classes?

Star classes are classes developed by the Rollerdrome, which are specifically designed to teach beginner skaters the basic principals of skating.  Skills have been divided into 5 groups.  These groups are called Star levels. 

Star 1 teaches basic balance, rolling and stopping. 

Star 2 moves onto glides, turning backwards, backwards moving and stopping.

Star 3 progresses to jumps, crossovers and spreadeagle.

Star 4 skaters are required to spiral and shoot the duck, perform jump turns and progressive runs.

Star 5 will then teach you to do a one foot spin, the corner sequence of the glide waltz, a half salchow and bunny hop.

Once you have passed each star class you recieve a star badge and certificate.
